Hi i am new to building custom computers but i am knowledgeble to parts and the assembly.I was hopeing for some input on what parts are the most prefered and best value i am set on haveing a acrylic full size case and if any one has any ideas on how to build around it i appreaciate it. The mother board i also found im leaning tword. the links are below and thank you again for any help you can give me.

Mother board: http://pcworld.about.com/gi/dynamic...world.com/reviews/article/0,aid,120224,00.asp
Case:http://www.xoxide.com/clearacatxca.html

I plan to do case mods to so any ideas please send.

i would go with a Intel Core 2 DUO system, with an asus motherboard, at least 1GB DDR2 RAM and any nivdia 7000 series graphics card, a system like that will last for sometime and its vista really, it doesnt really matter what kind of case you have just as long as u have good cooling it should be ok.

i would suggest the 7950gt for a good price but the 8800gts or 8800gtx for the newest and greatest quality

First of all, that review of the motherboards is from 2005, so i wouldnt be making any decisions about which mobo to get from there. Whats your budget for the PC?

i dont so much have a budget as id have to wait on parts i can go high on prices but i will take me longer to make enough money to buy them im only 15 and im a cook at a local restraunt but i pull in enough money to do around 1,500 and 3,000 but the higher the price the longer i got to wait

alright

i like what taylor sent. i have that exact mobo and i love it. flash to the newest bios rightaway and u'll have absolutly no problems with teh board. That proc works great with it as well.

I have a beefier version of that ram, and it runs great. However, from what i've heard that stuff runs fine.

the GPU he gave was nice, but maybe a little expensive for ya. if it is, and teh 8800 GTS is in your range http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130080

stick with teh evga products. they are excelent quality. also, if you register it within 30days of purchase, you get a life-time warranty. (hence the 2 evga products in my baby thats in my sig)

and as a side note: you have a nice case picked out. i've seen a few come in for service where i work. the only problem i see with teh case is how easily it shows dust. but if you keep the parts clean and teh case clean, its a sexy build.
