I have a Toshiba P15-S409, i was reformating my hard drive due too dll problems and a nasty virus, it kept shutting down in the middle of reinstalling windows, so i open it up and cleaned the heat sink, since then it powers up and fans are going but nothing on the screen just black, i tried switching memory modules thinking maybe one has went bad, any suggestions????

Are you sure you didn't accidentally knock any cables loose?

I figured it out i had to reset my chip, it stuck to the heat sink and wouldnt set properly, problem solved!

the proccesor chip?? did u de-tatch it from the heatsink?
