Help!!!

I have an IBM T40 (256mb ram). MY brother has the same model...he got a new comp and i want to take his memory.....but when i open the memory slot theres nothing just an empty slot! Can anyone help?...where is his memory? if it helps thers only one slot...on mine its empty too where is the ram?

probably onboard ram, the slot is for adding more. if it's onboard ram, you won't be able to remove it.
