HD install?

When I get ready to put my HD in my new system will I have to whipe it and reistall? I have a seagate 80gb 5400 ATA 100 (I will get a new one soon with sata) that came in my 5 yr old HP. My new system AMD 64 3700, ASUS K8N5X, GIG of ram and 6600 GT.

From what I know, you should be able to put it in and off you go. However, I hear that windows doesn't like it when a new HD is plugged into a new mobo. You'll have to try and see. Back everything up mate. Good luck with your new system.

Yeah, it should just be plugged in and yo good. Also have you bought your CPU and GPU yet? If not i would suggest a 3500+ and spending extra on a better graphics card. 3500+ OC's very well Just a suggestion tho
