Hard Drive Problem

My OS is Win98SE and after I upgraded my new Hard Drive to 40GB and reinstalled my Win98SE once again, I checked my Hard Drive Space and it said that my Hard Drive space was only 1.99GB, What Happened?

try reformatting again. i think win98 can only register 10gb unless they are in partitions..although someone correct me if im wrong

if the mother board is old it might not be able to recognice larger drives

the harddrive probaly is not formated entirely in fat32, you need to get a formater program that will format your harddrives
