i have just installed a great new motherboard, cpu (athlon 64) and 1gb of ram. The first time i turned it on, it worked great, but after loading windows, it crashed with a blue screen. I then tried repairing windows using the cd. i didnt use the recovery console cuz i haven't a clue how to use it, insted i used the install thingy. Sure enough it came up with a repair option. i chose that option and now the whole hdd seems blanked.
i can't access it through my computer, the other computer. i've tried slave, master, different ide slots, but the windows doesn't even realise it's there. windows install seems to still think windows is on there though, but there is no repair option, just reinstall. can anybody suggest a way i can fix this problem? the hard drive contains cousework for my GCSEs, and my backup cd is also unreadable.
