Gts450 hdmi?

Hiya guys, just put in this new card (gts450), got a hdmi cable, a big tv. The LG 42" says no signal, the computer knows there is a TV plugged in and has all the resolution/sound options etc but there's no image/sound. I've fiddled with every setting, upgraded to the latest drivers and I've hit a dead end. Both the TV and the cable work fine, tested it with a friends laptop and it instantly appeared.

So I assume it's a problem with my computer or the card, probably software but I have no idea what it could be. Is there such thing as a hdmi driver in general?

Are you sure you've selected the correct source (your vidcard) on the TV?

most definitely as the laptop had no problems. Assuming input is the only selection needed to be made. The HDMI cable at the TV end was just left in.
