Good Upgrade???

Is this a good upgrade for bf2 and call of duty 2 for this computer
My computer:Hp pavilion a706n
amd athlon xp 3000+
512 mb
fx5500
160gb

okay, we do this just because we like to, we don't get payed from doing this so don't expect that u will always get an answer in less than 2 minutes. We post here when we have the time to.

I don't know if hp allows u to change the psu. I heard that atleast some Dell machines have different kind of main connectors. But check if ur mobo has a 20 or 24 pin connector. If it does then that psu should work.

For the ram and vid card we are going to need ur mobo specs.

nonono they'll both work the fx5500 is a agp card, so is the ati one he wants and then the ram is ddr so is his ones he got now..its all good, if the psu wont come outta ur computer then just lay the new psu beside it or ontop of ur computer and use it that way

well I just checked the specs from hp's website.
And the ram will work, but the mobo supports ddr333 and u have ddr500, so u are not going to get even near to the performance that u should with that ram.

And yes the vid card will work too, I was just wondering because there is an agp and pci version of fx5500.
