For 2 years now my Sony DCRHC14E Camcorder hasn't been able to read the mini DV tapes that i put in. For example the duration of how many minutes and hours into the tape doesnt display and when i press play nothing is displayed. Is this a problem with the video head? I have tried a few methods into getting the thing working such as getting an ear bud dipping the end into nail varnish remover and gently cleaning the video head. Another is blowing into the camcorder towards the video head to try and blow away any dust that might be
on the head and still no luck. So is there any tips you could give me into getting this thing working again as i'am out of warrenty. thanks!
