I am just wondering If I could have different RAMs in the 2 slots I have(I have 512 RAM in one slot)
Example: 512 RAM of one company>1st slot
512 RAM of a different company>2nd slot

It should work. Just make sure you get the same speed RAM. If you don't, all the RAM will run at the slowest RAM's speed.

Thx, But as speed,do you mean the 512 or something else

My 3dMark2001 SE Pro says that my first stick of RAM is
Installed & Enabled Size: 512 MB
Form Factor: DIMM
Frequency: 0 Hz
Slot: DIMM0 [BANK0]
What kind of 512 RAM will I need for the second slot(examples please)?
THX

You'll need to find out what speed your RAM runs at. You find most newer systems now use speed3200 ram or DDR400 in other words.

You can find out by installing this program:

When you find out the speed, just get the same as the one you have.

Also what motherboard have you got? If its reletivley now,and I guess older ones can support 1gb anyway. For new board, the maximum goes to about 4gb I think.

I hope this helps :)
