FSB speed

The Front Side Bus operates at a speed which is a percentage of the CPU clock speed. The faster the speed at which the Front Side Bus allows data transfer, the better the performance of the CPU.

The Front Side Bus carries data from and to the CPU.

So if you are playing games like Doom 3 at high settings, you'll need a fast one so it can carry data from the graphics card and RAM. That's probably not the most accurate way of describing it, but it speeds up your system overall, basically.

The FSb also gives what we call the cache speed...or so I think

The bigger the FSB it is, the better speed and transfer you get

Is it? I thought that cache speed can be full speed, which is the internal clock or half it. Or maybe that was just L2.
