I just today got a new iMac, and using frontrow:

My iMac screen just turns black and shows the icons on the left side of the screen, and the menu on the right side: Music, Movies, Videos, Etc.

This is cool, but I have seen videos, and friends computer using Frontrow, and their desktop screen zooms out (desktop drops back to just black,) and there is a circular view form.

Do I have to set something up, or is this just how the new Frontrow is on the brand new macs?

If your friends have Tiger I suspect that would explain it. Tiger did the circular type menus, and even though I have Leopard I haven't checked. (Plus I forgot the keyboard shortcut)
