Hi this will be my first build im doing and this is my first time on these forums. So I think I picked out some decent parts but i just wanted to make sure everything was ok or if i made a bad decision on something like that. I will be using this computer mainly to be playing WoW (World of Warcraft). As some of you know WoW has low requirements. So here's my build. Any and all criticism is helpful.

you trying to recreate something from the past? this aint a car or something

you know something's wrong when the most expensive shit in yo computer is the case

and how are you gonna start it up without a power supply

trust me, that cpu + that ram will not do you any good

the most this computer could do is like word processing and opening folders and shit

please, just try to save up some more money for something that exists in this decade

how about down to zero...? dude, that case (along with your other parts) has to go, seriously, you're spending ~ 1/3 of your budget on a modern case and stuffing it with parts from 5+ years ago (that's a kind estimate), you're catering to aesthetics without taking into account the performance (or more accurately lack thereof in this case), I'm not trying to be a jerk, but that's the reality of this situation, you don't even have the most important part of the build listed (psu)...

you should go on craigslist or buy your local trading post (at least that's what it's called here, the little classified ads newspaper) and see what kind of deals on decent systems you can get, you'd be surprised and most of those systems would e-rape the build you listed, this is an example I just pulled off the craigslist computer section in my area from browsing it for 2 minutes (while posting this) with "$250" in the search box...

"Complete computer system 3.0ghz 2 gb ram 250 gb HD nvidai 9600gt 512 mb video card cd/dvd burner mouse keybrd and 19 lcd monitor vista preloaded plays most online games"

that $250 complete system destroys the one you had and would have you up and running once you got it home and plugged it in, much better than having to wait for all the parts to get delivered, so what if it's ugly, save up and buy a case for it later, during that time waiting for a good deal on a good case you'll be playing WOW a lot better than you would've been with the incomplete system you were trying to piece together, even after the case you could upgrade it one piece at a time, that's a great deal on a low-mid range gaming machine, the 9600GT is just about as good a gaming card as you can hope for on that budget...

buy from newegg, my friend built a pretty good system for just 200 bucks by getting parts from their, it can run oblivion call of duty world at war and wow well
i can give u the list of part if you want

I'd like to see the score that PC would make in 3d mark Vantage lol.

but seriously, save up a bit like the above posters stated, and get about 600 bucks, and then we'll make u a screamin demon ;)

i think he could use a flux capasitor as well :D
now that the jokes
(and my bad spelling is out of the way........ hopefully)
look at investing into a barebone kit
or just save up the $$$$

another option would be to finance this pc through newegg
more details on that later

here are some barebone kits
$479.99
all you need to add to this one is a heatsink, GPU, HDD, OS, and DVD or CD (or both)
and your good to go
hows 3 GHz sound to you :D
sounds good to me
