Dual Monitor Support

Im trying to multi-monitor a monitor and a laptop, like have one screen running on laptop(main screen) and a Monitor VGA, im confused, really confused lol
PC benchmarks-
SiS 740 Intergrated Chipset
Mobile AMD ahtlon 4 788Mhz~
Running windows xp
224 ram
