ive got motherboard with built in vga and i have a seperate agp card. wen i plug in both monitors, only the one in agp card works. on the other one the no input signal sign comes off but only the light blinks. windows xp does not recognize the other monitor either
is it possible to run 2 monitors like dat?

Most likely your mobo shuts down the onboard VGA system when a video card is inserted. What is your video card? Most AGP cards have two outputs and will run two monitors. But I don't think you can combine an AGP card and onboard :(

ok so i was looking for splitters on ebay

some guy claims @* If you just buy a cable to split the signal you will halve the signal strength - This powered splitter will maintain the signal quality.@ is that true? will a normal 5 quid one do?

Just using a cable splitter will reduce signal strength as the same output now 'sees' two inputs. However, I have no idea whether or not this is noticeble, maybe you could buy a cheap one (splitter that is) from a local store and then return it if the signals are terrible?

Maybe some one here currently uses/has used a vga splitter and can comment?
