Hey people,
This is the same problem I have had for the past half year. My Dell Inspiron 6000 (my first laptop) is having a problem and I really really need to fix it. The problem is this: whenever I press the power button (and I have to press it REALLY hard), the power light goes on, but the motherboard screen, nor the Dell screen flashes. The screen is just blank for 5-10 seconds and then everything powers off. Sometimes, the cpu light also goes on, but that turns off too.
Any suggestions? I know that it is not the Ram, because I checked it in another comp.
