Crashing During Games

Ok,
So I start playing a few games and then in the middle of it my comp crashes or comes up with this "Needs to Close, Would you Like to send a report?" I asked my friend and he said to update drivers, did that but still happens. Didn't use to do that before, but i had it stored for about 2 months. Anyone know anything else I could do to cure this problem?
My Vid Card is an ATI Radeon 9500.

Make sure you havn't got spyware and software running in the background cause that could cause you ram to get used up.

Yep try using Ad-aware, download it from cnet.com

Or you can try updating your windows by going to this site.

http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/

Make sure that after your first update, after you have rebooted your computer, go back to the site and scan for updates FOR the previous updates.

You will have to do this a few times, maybe up to 10 times, until the last scan shows that there are no more critical updates.
