A couple quick questions from a novice...

Hey.

What is the difference between RAM and Memory? Are they the same?

What is the difference between a SATA (Serial ATA) hard drive and an IDE harddrive?

Is buying used parts ever worth it?

What's a PCI slot?

A USB port is a free slot for a drive right? What does USB stand for?

Finally, where else is a good place to go online to learn all this kind of stuff?

ram and memory are interchangable. Ram stands for Random Access Memory.

SATA is faster than IDE and has different types of connections.

Yes buying used parts can save you money.

PCI is a slot that is on your motherboard. You can install things like a modem, sound card, and other things in them.

And you can learn it all buy reading these very forums. Cant think of a guide off the top of my head.
