in an evga gtx 260 is there going to be a noticeable difference between the core 216 version or the regular 192? im not paying the extra $15 to overclock it i will do that myself.

The 216 version has 216 processing cores while the regular has 192. The 216 is faster. There is a difference, regardless of whether you OC or not.

The Core 216 actually has performance close to the stock version of the GTX 280. You can overclock the Core 216 to perform better than the 280. Here are some benchmarks and reviews. It's a great card. I bought the Core 216 a few days ago. A huge step up from my 8800GT. You can overclock the superclocked version even more. Giving you fantastic results.

look at my sig, im sure something can relate me to this topic. I would pay the extra. The core 216 is actually pretty dang close to what the GTX 280 can do and with the price range between the two, its a big difference. You will get better performance with the core 216, it wont be like WOW difference but their will be a difference. I suggest you go for the 216, i was going to go for the regular one but than i decided to go with the core 216 just for a little bit more.
