I've had this issue for a few months but done nothing about it, now I need to so the missus can install a programme so she can get work emails at home.
Basically I got a virus, no purchase McAfee, which has half sorted it, will it now works, BUT. When I open it in safe mode and go into the Administrator, I cannot find any user accounts, although there are four on the system.
In my user account, which is supposed to be an administrator, my start-up menu has been changed so that I do not have a log off or switch user tabs, so I can only close the system down, if I try to go into the task manager is says 'this function has been disabled by your administrator' and in I can do not have a 'control panel' tab, to go in and change anything.
Am I looking at a full reinstall? If so do I need the disks for this, as I'm not sure where they are - It's a Dell Dimension 9150 computer.:lease:
