Connect two laptops so one sees the other hard drive.

Hey everyone, Im imaging ten computers and need to be able to image them; clearly you cant image them from within the system drive you're running, so I need to format the system drive & connect to another laptop with the image and the program (driveimage XML and deploy the image), so how can I set this up? Thanks
