So I have an old desktop and I am trying to bootup with Hirens BootCD via USB. Now it won't boot to USB, I've been into the bios and the told computer that USB has priority over all other devices. I've pressed F10 to choose which device I want and I select USB and it just sits there a with link flashing at me. I've tried with another USB and same result. I know that it isn't to do with USB's I've been able to use them.

I have have very same problem, only I have a usb Dvd burner that the light goes on & blinks but won't boot up cd.

I don't know how to fix your problem, but if I was you I would burn the program to a cd & boot up from that.

Try creating the USB with different sources, had same problem years ago, had to use a few other programs until it finally worked, took me a day or so.

Goodluck

Plug in the stick and boot to the bios. Under BOOT menu go to removable devices menu and set that up.
