computer not reading cds

Hello, I am new to this forum and the reason why I need help is because my computer will not read any sort of disk that I put into it, whether it is a music cd or a game. Could somebody help me?

If you need a background on this: the last time I used the system restore on my computer, my friend canceled it in the middle of it. That messed up a lot of things on my computer and for a while I couldn't watch AVI's... but I was able to fix that.

I can't seem to find a way to make any of my disk drives work and I need help please.

well your "mate" punch him for doin this ... do a restore to a time before the incomple restore ... if you dont have a poin then try to get the drives of the manufactors website .. if that fails looks like its time for a reinstall of windows while your "mate" begs for frogivness

Yes, And As payback You should do the same to his computer as he sits there tied to a chair watching his precious files being whiped away bwuahahahahhah
