Hi all,

My girl friends PC just... freezes. Does it quite often. She can use it for an hour or two, and it be fine... and then it will just freeze. Once it has froze, the only way to turn it off is via holding the power button till it shuts off (Un-proper shut down).
Some times it will freeze within 5mins, or just after it has loaded up.

Checked the inside, everything seems to be connected right and no loose connections.

Tried virus scans (AVG and Norton)
Tried Adaware scans.

When started up get an error that says something like cannot find C:/Windows/System32/bdqvafn.dll?

Any idea how to stop it crashing?

Cheers

Did a repair, and didnt work.

So now, done a reformat, fresh windows on it... still freezes.

Any ideas what to check?

Lockups/freezes/restarts can often be caused by the PSU not providing enough power, I would test the system with another power supply.
