Compatibility question

I'm upgrading my CPU, RAM
everything else I've checked.

I just need a good mobo that will be compatiable with these parts

P.S I have a AOpen AX4G-N/AX4L-N (6 PCI, 1 CNR, 3 DIMM, Audio, Video, LAN) and a Intel Brookdale-G i845G chipset

If u click the link to your CPU it will show suggested products i saw there were a few mobos and some ram you might want to just look at the suggested products. If not the socket is LGA 775, for the Cpu. so first u choose your mobo then you find out which one is compatible with your ram.

if you still buying a mobo i'd get amd, they run way cooler and are just as good as intel in work station stuff and awesome in gaming.

If you must have the parts you listed, this is an ok motherboard. I honestly don't like that configuration too much. I prefer AMD at this point. What you have will work, but I would upgrade to DDR2.

holy shit, if your going to be doing alot of gaming definitly get an AMD. the AMD 3000+ venice core overclocks nicely to 2.6ghz no problem at all and it a very cheap cpu then get a nice cheap skt 939 mobo and wa la

It is preferable you go AMD because games do run better on their system. You can keep the RAM you have, but get this CPU and motherboard:
