My computers motherboard has
Northbridge Chipset A.M.D 780G
Southbridge Chipset A.M.D SB700
and I use the an AMD Athlon 64 Bit CPU
and the Motherboard has Hypertransport 3.0
What I need to know is this?
I know the CPU is connected directly to Main Memory with it's own BUS and does not need to go through the Northbridge anymore.
But the CPU still goes through the Northbridge to get to my PCIe Slots and I know the CPU is connected to the Northbridge through the Hypertransport BUS.
But is my Northbridge still connected directly to my Southbridge????
