Hi. Recently I encouter problems with my CD-ROM & DVD disks. I use them rarely but when I use them or try to burn with both of them disks, they make noises from inside and then in most cases the computer crashes and restarts from itself...

When can be the problem? Both of the disks are faulty?

Thank you.

When burning a disc, the drive will make more noise than usual. As for the crashing... could be any number of things, but I'd look at memory first.

Sounds sort of funny...

Does this happen with any disk? Does it only happen when you try and burn two disks at once? Does it happen while just reading the disk? And in which drive?

It happens with both of them even when I try to just read any disk seperately...

Try reseating them... and try changing SATA ports for one of them.

The easy stuff, you can go ahead and do a memtest and a hdd test... but if it's just your optical drives and not your usb ports... it may be you need to update your motherboard drivers.
