can you make a system disk with windows xp?

That may be to stop piracy, although i dont think thats too likely, it seems more difficult to do it with a cd

Microsoft is beginning to phase out bootable floppy diskettes in favor of bootable CD discs and has not included a method of easily creating a bootable floppy diskette in Windows or from the CD. However, Microsoft has created web pages for users who still need to create bootable diskettes to install (not upgrade) Windows XP, below is a listing of each of these pages.

Grr... There was a minimal version of XP you could burn onto a CD and boot from. It allowed you to preform maintainence and what not. I can't remember what it's called, though. It was [something]XP.

Oh well, there's another thing similar to that called ERD Commander. Unfortunatly, it costs money (read: a lot).

Haven't a clue about any CD version of the Microsoft boot disks.
