Can I cut this 3.5 hdd cage in half?

Then stick it in my case just under the exiting HDDs?

I'm not really interested in a new case because the my case has 14 USB ports and most cases only have a few.

I have no reply to that. I'm not sure what you whould hope to accomplish or why you would even want to do that.

I would like to add two more internal HDDs in the open spot.

also I don't see any holes for the HDD screws do the HDDs side in and are they secured w/ a latch mecameism?

Yes you could do this but it will be a bit flimsy
