burnng dvd ??

whats up everyone i recently purchased a hp dual layer dvd burner i tried burning a dvd lastnight and no luck it would start it and then eject and say speed mesurmet failed wha is the proper way of burning a dvd cds i have no problem with its just dvd..... i have roxio 7 please help me out thnx in advance

On the pack of dvds, it will have the speed. select that in roxio. (and nero is better, btw. roxio has some major bugs)
