ok im building this for a friend, he has a fairly cheap budget so i went kinda low tech, how does this look for a cheap little gaming pc... and its not going to be OC'd at all because hes not a big tech so no need for BE

I wouldn't suggest skimping on the psu, there are some good psus out there that are cheap, not as cheap as the one you listed, but close to it if you catch a good deal with a rebate...

well it doesn't seem like he would be upgrading and the system doesn't need a big PSU. So does it make sense of a better brand at his point? Not to prove a point, i just want to know

yeah that was kinda of my thought too, i mean his not gonna be really needing anything special...
