BLU RAYis the future??

so basicaly i got me a decent rig now ( i posted earlier for what kind of pc to get ) and i saw a sweet gaming laptop online ( i used to game on my toshiba , but gpu is outdated for latest games) and it was a NICE samsung wiht a 9800, and i saw one thing, it came with a BLU RAY PLAYER! so gee, does that mean all the games are gona be blue ray format soon? so i wasted my money on my current pc? maybe i can fit a blu ray player in there? what are yall's thoughts?

If it's a desktop PC, you can fit a blu-ray drive eeasssy . Dont worry!

laptop probably had a blu ray player in there for movies, not really the future of gaming.

I think Blu-ray will become standard soon. The technology is getting easier to produce and it is also getting cheaper. When blu-ray first came out, that exact same drive was almost 600 USD.
