My aunt and her neighbours down the street agreed to share their internet connection between one another and split the price since they aren't doing that well financially at the moment. However, the router is in the neighbour's house and my aunt's laptop (and my laptop) only pick up the signal in the bathroom - the only room pointing across the yard towards their house. She wants to be able to browse the web in the living room, which is on the opposite side of the house but the signal strength isn't good enough. Is there any way to improve the signal strength? The neighbours told me they have the router pretty much pointed directly towards my aunt's house and it works perfect for them.
Would there be a way to put something in the bathroom wirelessly that would direct the signal again to the living room? Weird question but I'd like to have some idea by Saturday.
