Automatic Update Problems

My computer at work was affected with Ad-Ware and after 2 months my pop up situation went way, thanks to norton and spysweeper. Well anyways I orderd SP2 and got it on CD. I installed it on my PC. Ever since the adware situation my computer hasnt been getting the automatic updates. The icon at the bottom of the computer would show but it never downloads, its always at 0%. If I go to the automatic update site, it tries to download but it always says that it fails!! I have no idea how to fix this problem and I do not want to do a clean install, any suggestions out there on how to fix this?

Have u ever though that there might not be any updates available for your computer? Like sp2 is quite new!

yea i havent gotten any updates after sp2 and i think its perfectly normal. even though they have a couple of problems in sp2.

Um, its trys to dl stuff from the website, it just says "failed!" There are 3 updates to be exact, and all just say DL failed

bah, I say format the disk. Save all your data, and format.
