Another Outlook Problem. (receiving emails)

I have Microsoft Outlook XP Pro and whenever i receive new emails, they don't come up unless i click off of my inbox and click on outbox, calendar, sent items, etc... When i do that i notice that i have one new item in my inbox. how come it doesnt generate the new email when i am in my inbox?

Suggestions would be greatly appreciated =-]

It's possible that the receiving from your POP/IMAP account is suspended while that folder is active. There might also be some issue with Outlook itself. Have you tried reinstalling? Also look in the preferences. I can't tell you well. I used to have Outlook XP, but upgraded to 2007 (a world of difference) Let us know what you find.
