Another gig

So I added another gig of RAM that I got into my system, and now have 2gigs. It's running at 3-3-3-5. With my first gig, in BF2142 I was running about 70fps constant, and with the new gig in, with the old one, I am now running about 20-30 constant... any thoughts?

Are they both the same speed, the RAM will always run at the slowest speed. Are you trying to run them in dual channel mode.

I am running 2x512 in dual channel, and a 1gig stick

basically-
DIMM A1: 1x 512
DIMM A2: 1x 512
DIMM B1: 1x 1024
DIMM B2: -------

That's really odd, do the 2x 512s and the 1x1024 work alright separately? or does the new RAM fail completely.

They work separately. I sent in the 1gig stick to PQI for an RMA, because the same thing was happening before, and memtest got like 160k errors in one test. So I was hoping for a great speed boost... But apparently not. The 2x512's are Patriot RAM and the 1gig is PQI.

Happily stated, I ran a memtest and got no errors on any RAM. But that doesn't explain one thing: Why then is performance decreasing, when power is increasing?
