I have a amd athlon 64 3500+ cpu and the temp is around 125 F, is that normal, stable, ok?. Please tell me so, i just built this comp and i dont want it to die on me. =[

Thats about 51c so thats an ok temp but you might want to keep it at 40-45 get new heatsink...is this underload or idle ?

As 'DevO115' says it ok, but if your gaming or using the Computer for applications that require high CPU loads then you'll need it to be at least 42c (idle) using standard fan cooling.

yeah if thats idle you might want to think about gettin a new heat sink and fan

my 3500 runs about the same as jac006's, did u take the heatsink off and forget to apply thermal compound, and are you using thermal compound?

I have a matrix mid atx case with a see through side panel window with a fan.
so u only have one fan in the case? if so then put some more in because if u dont have good airflow the heatsink is just blow hot air and not cool down very well
