nice!! my ram is limiting me from oc'ing my 3200+. i think ocz has a problem running on am2 platforms.

That's a nice overclock! At least compared to the old S939 CPUs. It's just too bad you lose a little speed on the memory with DDR2 but thats normal.

i can tell you that those timings are just crap for DDR2. Seriously, i would never use CAS5 on DDR2. Cas4 is the max that i would go. Ive seen DDR1000 CAS4 with ~$200 2GB sticks. You should have paid the extra 50 bucks and gone with the 6400C4s. But DDR-900 is probably the highest you are going to get out of those sticks. None the less, a decent overclock on air.

@ zoomtm: Some sticks like 2.4V and when they get it, they fly :D

right now the board only allows 1.95volt for max ram voltage...cas4 ram is 2.1volt...so ya that wouldnt work out right ;)

BIOS posted at 4.4GHz:

I found a way to get the ram higher than 1.95 Volts. ASUS includes an overclocking program which allows you to give up to 2.5Volts!! and 1.5625 Volts on the CPU. But if I raise the FSB, the PC just freezes, im going to try clockgen to see if it works with the ram voltage up higher. Also setting the CPU to 1.5625 volts only gives it 1.425 volts. So I'm sure ASUS will probaly fix this in the next BIOS release. Keep this in mind if you are going to buy this motherboard!

I got the CPU at 2.805GHz - didnt last long enough for screenshot (sorry for blurry pic...got excited and couldnt hold camera still lol):

2.797 seemed stable: and only 39c

Now im waiting for ASUS to send me a BIOS that can up the core on the CPU or a new version of the AIBooster program that will allow me to. I have a feeling this CPU has a lot more to give :).
