AHHHH Driving Me Crazy

Recently I bought a switch for the office and set it up upstairs. It works fine, no problems at all. I then took the old hub that was there and brought it downstairs. There used to be 1 computer downstairs going right into a walljack but now there is 3. I took a cable from the wall jack to the uplink in the hub, and plugged the other three in. Now the computers downstairs keep freezing a lot and sometimes denies the girls access to network resources. Is this a hardware problem with the hub? Should I get another switch? Please help

More likely to me a misconfiguration somewhere in your computers but could possibly be a hub problem.

should not be a misconfiguration
they worked fine before i plugged them into a the hub

Must be the hub then. Do you have another one to try to make sure?
