Advice on coolers for extreme overclocking

hey everyone. i have an intel Q9550 2.83Ghz quad core cpu, and i want to overclock to 4Ghz or as close to it as i can. i need advice on good coolers. i want to stick with air cooling, but i can do water cooling if absolutely needed. please refer me to some quality coolers that will get the job done. THANK YOU!:D

I agree with Cabbs, a TRUE is the way to go. Here is a comparison between the Copper and the standard. You have to be prepared to lap a TRUE yourself though or it will never be worth the money.

Pair it with a high airflow, static pressure fan such as the Sanyo Denki Cabbs recommended. The Scythe Ultra Kaze or the Silverstone FM122 are similar but often easier to find in stock.

Arctic Cooling MX-2 is the thermal paste I use.
