Admin Privilages?!!

I lost my admin privilages becuase my cousin had a virus protector and it deleted so much programs.. and deleted my admin on my computer.I want to know how can i get back my computer?!! I got a Dell Xp

have you tried booting into safe mode and logging into admin? or is the safe mode admin account the one you lost?

if the virus did infact delete alot of files on the hhd corrupting the OS, your best bet would be to do a fresh install of the OS, either from your cd's or from the backup partition. depending on what kind of computer you have and the year of it.

to restore from a partition backup, just boot up the computer to the bios, then change the boot order to boot from the cd.

I've never heard of a virus program deleting an admin account, are you sure this is what happened?
