Adding a second hard drive....

Alright, as some of you know I am receiving a seagate barracuda 250gb SATA150 HD for christmas. I currently have a samsung spinpoint p 80gb sata150 hd.

I want to use both hard drives but NOT in RAID. I was told that I could do something like this....

Screw in new hard drive, connect sata power cable to hd from psu, then connect sata cable from hd to mobo.

Then I can startup into windows, and it will say it recognizes new hard drive and then I can just right click and format. And then I will have 250gb (or so) of storage space!

Is that all I have to do?

Oh I will....Its 330GB overall....minus the 6gb windows took out of my 80gb...so thats 324GB...

How much space do you think windows will take out of a 250gb hd?
