ADD RAM Acer Aspire ONE d270-1824

I just bought this computer because it was cheap and wanted a laptop to mess around on. It has windows 7 starter and is very very very very slow. It has 1gb of ram.

1. Can I upgrade the Ram or is 1gb the most this system can handle?

2. If I can upgrade the Ram how much can I add?

3. Can someone show me a link that shows what types to buy and how to add it?

Have you removed all the bloatware? Iirc, acer usually puts tons of it to the point that the computer is near useless out of the box. I usually run pc decrapifier on laptops, unless they come with preinstalled antiviruses, in which case a total format with a stock windows image is usually easier.

I talked to someone from acer and they said it was not possible for my machine to run 2gbs of ram is this true or just complete bullshit

Yeah, that's wrong. 2GB is the max. Just look at that link I posted before.

EDIT: Here's an instructional video. IDK what the hell acer was thinking when they designed this thing. Every netbook I've ever used had a panel on the bottom to access memory by just removing one screw.

Pretty easy if you can follow instructions. Just watch the video and do exactly what he does, except for the replacing the hard drive part.

In the video, he replaces the hard drive. You don't need to do that.
