Sooo i am going to purchase a 7900 gt but i cant decide between bfg and evga... it is between 3 card, 1 which is bfg and 2 which are evga. the cards are as follows :
http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=17946&vpn=BFGR79256GTOCE&manufacture=BFG Technologies
http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=17950&vpn=256-P2-N563&manufacture=eVGA
http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=17951&vpn=256-P2-N565&manufacture=eVGA

So which would you go with? And could someone tell me the exact difference between a 7800gt and a 7900gt? arent they kinda similar?

I've heard BFG has a good reputation, but bad tech support. They all pretty much look the same, except the last one is "super overclocked". Go with the eVGA since more people seem to say they make more reliable products.

I've used BFG and I've had nothing but good experiences with the technical support, myself.

I've never used eVGA myself, so I can't comment on them, sorry.

As far as BFG, if you chose them I think you'd be satisfied.

more people choose eVGA. order from newegg too, you'll probly get it faster. thats a nice card too, you should be happy

As far as I know BFG is pretty crappy low quality cards. I know future shops sells them and a guy I know who works there said that of the 100 or so BFG 7800GT's they sold before christmas probably half came back reported as being dead. Also I know BFG used to be a company called Pine and they had a horrible reputation for manufacturing bad quality cards. The possibility is there that they have revamped their system of manufacturing but judging by the reports of my friend it doesn't sound like they are doing so well. I guess for those that have had good luck with BFG cards just are in fact...lucky.

I say go with eVGA, they make great quality cards and have a great reputation all around. I haven't heard anything bad about any of their products.
