2 partitions. is drive D slowing down my drive C?

hi

i formated my computer a year ago and created 2 partitions, drives C and D. recently, i formated my computer again, but this time only drive C. i have only installed games on my drive D before and it is mainly used for storage.

so my question is, if i format only my drive C and not my drive D, will drive D slow down my fresh drive C performance?

Nope. it might give you a little trouple because programs that installed on D: might be looking for files it put in C:/windows but it won't slow your computer down.
