how high can you set the graphics level on Crysis with 1x 8800GT and still get at MINIMUM 23fps? (which means the average has to be at least 35)

and wuts the best deal on a dual-core intel? E6600 or E6750?

(i simply want to play crysis on a single 8800GT on the HIGHEST setting possible (WITHOUT AA) and still get at least 23fps)
and i wanna know wut processor to get with it - that will offer teh greatest value for my money

all this at 1680x1050 or possibly 1920x1200

a intel core 2 quad 4g ram and one 8800gt will run crysis at high settings not full with a nice rez

intel Q6600 is the best cpu to go for atm, with 2GB mem or more with a 8800GT 512MB, but the 256mb verson will still run it great

in my mind amds new quad if a failed
yes its better then intels current quad but only by a very little
and intels next cpu is right around the corner
plus on 45nm for a much high clock speed

I have a Quad and explosions/physics etc that usually test a CPU, don't really test my Q6600 at all, so exploding things don't really do anything to my hardware.

My graphics card is pushed however, but an 8800GT would be an improvement.

At the moment, at 1024x768 at Very High settings on XP (Hack), I'm getting around 17-22fps, and I'm pretty sure the 8800GT could do better.

It may be worth waiting to see how well the 8800GTS (the new one) performs, and how much it costs, before making a decision, but the 8800GT would be a very nice buy, if you weren't wishing to throw on loads of res and antialising on at all.

"all this at 1680x1050 or possibly 1920x1200"

I doubt even the 8800GT would get 1680x1050 at Very High settings with 35fps average, but if set to High, it could get pretty close on some parts.

I doubt running at 1920+x would be possible though.
