15 pin to USB

I have an old joystick I want to use to play games on my current computer.

The problem is though, that with it being old my computer doesn't have a port for it to go into.

I have looked on the internet for things to convert it into USB but i'm not sure what all the terminology means.

The Joystick has 15 pins sticking out (I think the correct word is male) arranged in 2 rows of 8 & 7.

Like this:

. . . . . . . .
. . . . . . .
Will somebody please tell me what I should be looking for.

Thanks In Advance

It's not a serial port. It's a game port and there is a difference. The one Bob told you about is the one you want.
Oh and it's a DB-15 not a DB-9.
