Xbox 360 to LCD Monitor Help

Hey guys. I am going to be hooking my 360 up to my spare LCD Monitor. This is what I know I need.

Xbox 360 VGA HD AV Cable
Stereo Splitter (3.5mm) Audio Adapter
and Monitor

Is there anything else?

Also the VGA cord is like $35. Little much but if I go on eBay there only about $5-$10. They are generic. Would they give me RROD(Red Rings Of Death) or should I be fine buying it? Thank you

Nothing external can give you rrod except for that cooler fan thingy. You'll be fine
