I have a Panasonic Touchbook CF-48 and the volume doesn't show or in the toolbar or in the control panel. When I go to volume in the contorl panel it says no audio device is plugged in. This is a laptop so I don't know if I have to go inside and start messing around.

Please help, I really want my sound back.

Are you sure you installed any drivers that might have came with those speakers? Windows should automatically detect them but sometimes it doesn't. You might have go to the website for your speakers, and download it from there.

They were working fine when my brother first gave me his laptop about 2 months ago, but then they jsut stopped about a month ago.

Try reinstalling the soundcards drivers,or if it is in Windows XP try doing a system restore to restore your computer back to the way it was before.

I just did, but it still doesn't work. I'll try a full reboot and hoepfully that works.

Ok, well, now I just found out my speakers still make binging noises for alerts, but still don't play anything else such as music or videos.

Everything is checked, but some say stopped. I don't know how to strart them.
