Skipping Mp3 Player

Ok so i got home last night and i had a bundle of clothes in my hand... My MP3 player was in the bundle and it fell out... It hit the ground. I Didnt really think anything of it. Now today I went to listen to the music... and all it does is skip ahead 5 seconds in the song as if it were searching for a spot in the song.. I have tried several Different songs and it does the same thing on all of them. SO Is there anything I can do to get it to stop searching? My MP3 Player is a RCA-LYRA RD2762B
